A Tokyo, l’empereur Akihito et l’impératrice Michiko du Japon ont rendu visite à plus de 300 sinistrés de la préfécture de Fukushima, actuellement hébergés dans un centre d’accueil. Le couple impérial s’est longuement entretenu avec les victimes et les équipes de secours.

La reine d’Espagne visite des bébés pandas au zoo de Madrid

Au zoo de Madrid, la reine d’Espagne a rendu visite aux petits pandas Po et Dee qui allaient effectuer à l’âge de 7 mois leur première sortie vers une zone visible vers le public. Les deux bébés pandas sont les troisièmes à naître en captivité dans un zoo en Europe, depuis le panda ChunLi à Madrid également en 1982.  En novembre dernier, la reine d’Espagne dont on connaît sa grande affection pour les animaux, était déjà venue les voir . 

 

Emission le 21 avril prochain (jour du 85ème anniversaire de la reine Elizabeth II) d’un feuillet de timbres commémoratif du mariage du prince William et de Catherine Middleton, sur base des photos officielles des fiançailles réalisées par le photographe Mario Testino.

Le prince Harry accompagne le groupe de soldats britanniques « Walking with the Wounded » au Pôle Nord. Ces soldats ont perdu une jambe lors de missions militaires à l’étranger et ont fixé comme objectif d’être les premiers à rallier le Pôle Nord en ayant cet handicap.

 

Le prince Harry a suivi leur préparation au voyage de près et avait toujours déclaré que si son emploi du temsp au sein de l’armée le lui permettait, il se ferait une joie de les accompagner.

Le 28 mars, le prince Harry est arrivé en Norvège afin de préparer le trekking au Pôle Nord qu'il va effectuer avec un groupe d'handicapés de lassociation "Walking with the Wounded". 

 

Le trek devrait durer 4 semaines, pour trois jours de préparation. Le prince Harry ne va participer qu'aux 5 premiers jours de la marche.

Prince Harry joins the ‘Walking with the Wounded’ team, whose goal is to walk to the North Pole with two wounded soldiers which will make them the first amputees to reach the Pole. The team is situated on an island between the Norwegian mainland and the North Pole to pack and prepare for the days ahead.

Le prince de Galles a eu un entretien au Palais de Sao Bento à Lisbonne avec le Premier Ministre José Socrates. Il a également visité la ville d’Evora dont sa superbe cathédrale. De son côté, la duchesse de Cornouailles était en visite à la Casa De Proteccao E Amparo De Santo Antonio
